A revolutionary pickup system in the Yamaha EV-205 Electric 5-String Violin uses sensors under each string that resonate 3-dimensionally producing incredible tone. The onboard mixer includes level controls for each string plus a master level control. A headphone jack and Silent Practice technology can also be used onstage with an in-ear personal monitor. The violin body/frame and soundboard are made of carved, solid maple providing acoustic-like resonance. The 5th C string adds immense versatility to this revolutionary Yamaha Electric Violin and combined with the pickup system it gives you searing tone that lends itself to jazz and rock repertoires.
