Description

The Moosmann M24 is an advanced student level instrument that has a reputation of performing well in professional environments all the same. This Bassoon is one that comes in at a relatively approachable price and could very well carry one through an entire professional career.

Moosmann holds the reputation of being one of the most trusted brands for bassoonists worldwide. Their 'M' series is a line of instruments specifically geared towards the more amateur player. Despite being geared towards a beginner, the M24 is still made of wood, rather than the more common material used on student level woodwinds, ABS resin.

This bassoon is made of Bosnian Mountain Maple wood, finished with a traditional lacquer, giving the instrument the sound (and look) of a serious high quality instrument. The sourced Maple giving the instrument a much more resonant, layered, and expressive sound. The keys and tone-hole inserts are all German silver/silver plated providing this horn with a hint of brightness to it.
