Description

The Yamaha 82Z series of Soprano Saxophones are reminiscent of vintage Yamaha Soprano designs. Their design and scale are based on the class '62' models. The bodies of these horns are made of a special brass alloy that is lighter weight than most other saxes. This alloy provides a unique playing experience driven largely by excellent tonal flexibility allowing players of all varieties to really excel on this instrument, no matter the sonic environment.

The one piece neck found on this instrument gives a more free-blowing feel with fantastic response and a direct tonal quality. This model has a curved neck for greater comfort.

It's keywork has been especially designed for hands to fall naturally and comfortably on the touches. All Yamaha saxophones also come with an adjustable thumb rest, further allowing any variety of player to hold this horn comfortably.
