NB1W Wood-Composite Bassoon
Made to the specifications of professional instruments but offered at a fraction of the price- the Nobel NB1W wood-composite bassoon is perfect for students and hobbyists alike. Made from a combination of ground wood and ABS plastic, each instrument is injection-molded, ensuring every instrument is made to its exact dimensions. Wood-composite is ideal for students as it extremely durable and resists warping and cracking, unlike wood-body instruments but provides the warmth, complexity and tonal capability of wood-body instruments.

Keywork
The NB1W features full professional silver-plated keywork, including high D and E keys, left hand whisper-lock and left-hand C ring-key. An optional C plateau key is included to facilitate easier fingerings for smaller hands. The NB1W also includes additional rollers on the Pancake key (low-E key).

Accessories
Nobel bassoons include everything you need to care for your instrument: 3 cloths, including a polishing cloth, a weighted-end swab for the bass and tenor (wing) joint as well as a weighted-end swab for the boot-joint. Other accessories include a hand crutch, cup-style leather seat-strap, easy to install/remove balance hanger, and two well-matched bocals (#2 and #3) with individual protective nylon pouches. The Mistral bassoon comes in a lightweight, nylon backpack case.
