Monette mouthpieces are desired for their response and tuning. Designed to negate the need for physical adjustments to find the 'sweet spot' of a horns resonance, allowing the player to approach the instrument with a more neutral and open embouchure to produce a more naturally full and resonant tone. The TT5 large shank trombone mouthpiece in comparable to a Bach 5G. Meaning that it is a versatile mouthpiece that is comfortable in both the high and low registers of the horn. It is worth noting that Monette sizing tends to run a little large.
