Description

Yamaha’s new TransAcoustic guitar recreates the experience of playing in a rich, lively room without the need for amplification or external effects – just the guitar itself. This is achieved using an actuator mounted on the inner surface of the guitar’s back that vibrates in response to the vibrations of the strings. The vibrations from the actuator are then transmitted to the guitar body and the air in and around the guitar body, generating authentic reverb and chorus sounds from within the body.

Three simple knobs let you adjust the degree of effect applied and the volume level of the lineout. Additionally, Yamaha has reduced the size of the controls to minimize the surface area of the holes in the body material, thereby reducing acoustic loss.

- The body is a fully solid guitar based on the L series.
- A modified, no-cut bracing design retains the L-Series' signature bright tone while enhancing the bottom end.

- The 5-ply neck on all TransAcoustic guitars is constructed of rosewood and mahogany with a dual-action adjustable truss rod, creating a strong, stable neck that resists warping.
- The newly designed battery box is integrated into the pin end jack. This requires fewer holes in the body, reducing acoustic loss. Connect the jack cable to a PA or amp to use it as an acoustic electric guitar.
