Description

For a powerful but flexible stereo compressor that does not compromise quality, the Elysia xpressor is the superior choice. Its discrete audio path running in constant class-A mode combines a clear and open sound with a good lot of punch. The clearly laid out functions get you going straight away, while the extended features let you treat dynamics like never before. For stereo buss compression, processing single signals, approaching dynamics in creative ways and more, the xpressor shines in a number of different applications.

Features
Discrete Class-A Topology
As a true Elysia specialty, the audio path of the xpressor is completely based on discrete circuitry and does not use any integrated circuits at all. Its complete audio path is a new design which is based on the exclusive use of high grade discrete components. In addition, the universal compressor operates in permanent class-A mode. This means that the transistors are always conductive, resulting in the absence of crossover distortion and providing a pristine sonic base: the general sound character is always wide, open and punchy.
Auto Fast
In Auto Fast mode, the attack time will be shortened automatically on fast and loud signal impulses, preventing distortion of sustained signals. The compressor reduces the signal quickly and prevents it from slipping through before automatically returning to its original setting.
