New for 2023, the Fender Custom Shop presents the Limited '65 Dual-Mag Strat Journeyman Relic with Closet Classic Hardware - a stunning beauty from bridge to headstock, with special pickups and wiring, gold hardware, black three-piece pickguard pleats, a mother of pearl touchpoint inlays and more. Most notably, it wears a gorgeous Journeyman Relic finish in Aged Inca Silver, Aged Blue Ice Metallic, Aged Sage Green Metallic, and Faded Aged Charcoal Frost Metallic. This finish gives the impression of moderate playing wear, with a fine web of finish checks on the two-piece select alder body and quarter-sawn maple neck with a '65-style "C" profile , as well as a handful of "user-friendly" keys. the nicks and dings of the wood and the Closet Classic hardware that is only slightly oxidized.

Three Custom Shop hand-wound Dual Mag II pickups (reverse-wound middle pickup/reverse polarity for hum cancellation in switch positions 2 and 4) deliver high-output vintage Strat sound with improved tonal balance between the ropes. Vintage Modified #2 wiring routes the neck and middle pickups to a shared tone control, with the lower tone control routed to the bridge pickup. Additionally, the Tone-Saver bleed circuit eliminates tone loss when the volume control is turned down.

Other premium features include a 9.5" radius round blade rosewood fingerboard with 21 tall, narrow frets (6105) and bone nut, five-way pickup switch, vintage synchronized tremolo bridge Custom Shop, vintage style tuners, wing string tree with nylon spacer, deluxe hard case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
