Modified Bach 229H!

The C trumpet that has existed as standard in the professional trumpetists arsenal, and which has performed in professional orchestras across the globe for decades, is the Bach 229H. Coming standard with the beloved one-piece hand hammered 229 bell and a 25H leadpipe. The large bore (.462") gives this instrument its wide sound capable of projecting in any sonic range, while still maintaining a quality of brilliance and warmth synonymous with a C trumpet.

This Bach trumpet was one of the last horns worked on by renowned canadian brass tech Ron Partch. It was fitted with a Blackburn leadpipe and Amado water key. You can see in the pictures that Ron has moved the bracings of the horn to enhance the resonance and balance of the instrument. He also worked on the valve block and improved their action. Partchs work has brought the horn into a category of its own. The response throughout the range of the instrument is quick and accurate and the instrument has a renewed spirit you can rarely find from a brand new, off the shelf instrument.

Despite its cosmetic wear, this instrument is in perfect playing shape. It has seen much use throughout its career and is the perfect horn for any variety of trumpeter looking either for their first C trumpet, or looking for one that has a character distinct from any other horn in their collection.
