Join David as he demonstrates a typical guitar set-up, and discusses:
- construction, materials
- action, intonation, and other common terms
- how parts and accessories such as nuts, saddles, and hardware can help
- common maintenance issues
Guests are encouraged to bring their guitars and questions!
David Bradshaw is Dartmouth's resident guitar technician, specializing in acoustic and folk instruments such as mandolin, banjo, and fiddle. A multi-instrumentalist and veteran of the local folk and pub-music scene, David practiced stringed-instrument repair for over twenty years under the instruction of legendary Halifax luthier Tom Dorward, and looks forward to continuing that legacy for many years to come.

This clinic aims to take a dive into the various components of what affects your guitar signal, and how you can learn to create everything from classic tones to weird and wacky effects.
David Gibson Mclean graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2015, and has been recording and performing all over the world ever since. As a composer/recording artist in the video game & animation industries, he has collaborated with world renowned artists such as Guthrie Goven, Yoko Kanno & Jun Senoue.
