r

Producer Jeff Carter will discuss his approach to professional mixing, going beyond just the technical operation of EQs, compressors, and the mixer environment itself. The clinic will be shown using Presonus Studio Professional One Version 6, but the tricks and topics covered can be applied to most DAW software, and in most cases, even higher end analog mixing environments.

For more than 30 years, Jeff has worked as a studio owner, mix engineer, producer, mastering engineer, songwriter,  composer, audio consultant, live sound engineer, and keyboard player. A graduate of the Recording Arts Program of Canada, he's worked with some of Canada's top artists, including producing, mixing, mastering, and playing keyboards for Canadian legends the Spoons. He has mixed live audio at Rogers Centre, Hamilton Place, and the Sound of Music Festival, and is currently playing keyboards internationally with electronic dance band Kon Kan.
