Free in person presentation with Tamara Vandendool Cable
Tamara is a self-started businesswoman, musician, athlete, medical consultant, and disability advocate. Her experiences and expertise cross many fields and challenge the conception of what disability means. In addition, she has an extensive background in healthcare, psychology, and counselling.
After her foray into the sciences, she decided to change her career focus to the arts and follow her true passion. As a professional performing and studio musician since the age of 9, her performance has crossed boundaries from classical, to pop/rock, to folk, and continues to evolve. As a music teacher for the last 15 years, she has fostered a passion to work with young musicians (especially those with disabilities) to develop musicality and she challenges every student’s beliefs of what they are capable. Tamara has been legally blind since birth, and lost the majority of her remaining vision in her early teens. She has a number of other disabilities that challenge everyday life.
