Recording 101 with Ray Wilson
Learn the basics of what you need to capture your music using your computer. From hardware to software, learn what components are necessary and how to set up your new gear to begin recording in minutes. With more than 30 years of studio and recording experience, Ray spends much of his free time educating others in the art of audio engineering. By day he is a Sales Manager at Yorkville Sound; by night he is the owner of Synergy Studio in Pickering, Ontario, working with local artists in the Toronto area.

Jazz Improvisation with Rob Gellner
Learn to improvise on any instrument using the 4 Ts: Theory, Transcription, Transposition & Tunes. With a composition degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Rob has been playing trumpet for over 30 years and teaching for a decade, focusing on technique for the best possible sound while creating a fun yet challenging environment. He also teaches theory, composition and musical arrangement. He is known for playing in big bands as well as in solo performances. He has played in many musical productions, symphonies and classical groups, touring and recording with many artists in the area.

Single Drum Theory with Jeff Towers
The focus of this workshop is on minimalist playing, leaving room for acoustic instruments to shine. Specifically, he will teach you to be mindful of tones and frequency ranges so as to not overpower vocals, acoustic guitar, upright bass, fiddle or any other accompaniments. Jeff has been playing drums for over 30 years. He worked as a drum shop manager at Axe Music in Calgary from 2001 to 2014. He is currently endorsed by Mapex, Remo, Vater and Electrovoice Microphones.
