Broadway Presents Musical Theatre with Shauna - Winnipeg, MB

Broadway Presents Musical Theatre with Shauna is designed for young singers (ages 9-12) as an introduction to skills in solo and choral singing, as well as acting. Classes focus on the fundamentals of singing and musicianship (basic sight-reading and ear training) and singing in character. A wide-ranging repertoire is studied including musical theatre, pop, rock and classical styles. Includes performance opportunities for students in spring 2020.

Shauna Martin (soprano) is a native of Winnipeg who recently returned from the Boston area where she has been teaching musical theatre, classical and contemporary commercial music. She holds a B.Mus from Brandon University and M.Mus (Opera) from UBC. She is a great believer in “crosstraining” the voice and loves to work with students on all styles. Shauna teaches voice lessons and musical theatre group classes at both our Winnipeg Pembina Highway location and at our Winnipeg Northeast location.
