Songwriting with Colleen Eccleston
Are you up for a few challenges in your songwriting approach? In this class, Colleen will explore how to sharpen your language and melodies through some writing exercises. As singer/songwriter, performer, music teacher, and Beatles scholar, Colleen has brought her music and knowledge to the Victoria music scene since the early ‘80s. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear her talk about songwriting.

Mad Money! The Art of Booking Your Band/Duo with The Cliffes
Shaun Wilson and Chuck Simms (The Cliffes) will offer tips and ways to book your act and keep it working. Shaun and Chuck are former members of two of Victoria’s favourite cover bands, THAT ‘70S BAND and THE SUTCLIFFES. Shaun and Chuck have performed together for 20 years and have played more than 1200 shows in that time.

Two Track Recording Techniques with Joby Baker
Joby will offer tips and techniques for getting the best recording using two tracks. Joby has been the city’s busiest producer and one of its best-regarded musicians since 1992, his first year in Victoria. In the two decades since, he has recorded or played on numerous Juno, Grammy, and Latin Grammy-nominated recordings, even netting a Juno nomination himself for best recording engineer in 2013.
