Long & McQuade Toronto is proud to offer four courses to kick off the Spring season. If you're ready to jump-start your guitar, ukulele, or songwriting journey, we would like to help!
Group Guitar Lessons with Award-Winnng Guitarist, Rob Tardik: Beyond the Basics
6-week course: only $120
For guitar players that already know a few scales and chords, Rob’s six week guitar course will allow you to gain better control of the fingerboard and enhance your existing skills and techniques. Rob’s approach to teaching is to provide a rock-solid foundation of knowledge and technical advice that you can carry throughout your entire guitar playing career.
- May 15 - June 26 (no class June 5th)
- Tuesday evenings, 6:30 - 7:30pm
- Suitable for intermediate players age 14+
- Students must provide their own guitar (check out our guitar rentals starting at $8month!)
Group Guitar Lessons with Randy Finney: Guitar Accompaniment Styles for the Singer/Songwriter
6-week course: only $120!
This course will focus on ideas, considerations, and developing the physical skills needed in order to create thoughtful guitar accompaniments that fit within the context of singer/songwriter performances. Creating a guitar part that complements a vocal performance is a creative process, and this course will highlight some key concepts and techniques that complement the melody, feel, and mood you are trying to convey.

- Wednesday evenings, 7:45pm - 8:45pm
- For guitarists that already know some chords and scales

Group Ukulele Lessons with Kristin Fung
6-week course: only $120!
Spring is finally here and it's time to continue learning ukulele with uke-master Kristin K-Funk Fung! This six week course is perfect for those that have played a little bit of ukulele before and have already achieved learning some basic chords and melodies. Learning in our group setting is extremely fun, low-pressure, and cost-effective.
- May 23 - June 27
- Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
- For students wishing to learn how to play soprano or concert ukulele
- Students must provide their own ukulele (check out our ukulele rentals starting at $8/month!)
Group Songwriting Spotlight with Fergus Hambleton
6-week course: only $120!
Study the creation of great songs and workshop songs you have already written with Juno award winning musician and songwriter, Fergus Hambleton. This six week course will cover most of the major ingredients that successful songs have historically been made up of. This course is perfect for aspiring and more experienced songwriters alike.
