An Introduction to Guitar Effects with Denis Surette
Well-known Moncton-based guitarist, composer, and instructor, Denis Surette, will be here to help guide you through the endless choices of guitar effects! Denis will cover the different types and general uses of pedals, as well as how to chain them together properly when using several different ones. He will also take you on a tour of his personal pedal board and discuss how and why he uses them. Denis has performed locally, nationally and internationally with a wide variety of groups and singers. His career spans 23 years with several local bands and artists including “Les Paiens” and “Les Improbables”.

The “Art of the Groove” Bass Clinic with Norm Stockton
International bassist, solo artist, and clinician Norm Stockton will be here to share some tips and tricks for “laying it down”. This Gallien-Krueger endorsed artist will show you how to get the most out of your bass rig and more! Recognized as one of the premier bassists today, Norm has toured and recorded with a number of Grammy Award-winning artists, and is also known internationally as a bass educator and clinician. If you’re into bass or thinking about getting into bass, this is a must see event!

Live Looping 101 with Stephen Lewis
Want to learn how to use a simple chord progression to  practice your lead licks? Or maybe you want to turn yourself into a total one-person-band? Fredericton’s own “legend of looping” Stephen Lewis will be here to show you how looping can enhance your playing ability and transform your musical creativity. Stephen is a live looping instructor in the public school system and has toured locally and internationally performing at various festivals including Burning Man, The Boomtown Fair (UK), the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, and many more.
