Guitar Repair Fundamentals with John Sharples
Learn how to setup and adjust your guitar! John will cover how to treat the frets and fingerboard, maintain proper humidity, tips for restringing, tuning stability, guitar tool kit ideas, and more. John Sharples has been repairing musical instruments since 1979. He has worked for major touring artists including Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sarah McLachlan and Jeff Healey. John is currently a guitar technician for Long and McQuade in Winnipeg.

Matt will be guiding us through the setup and use of a basic live sound system. We will be looking at what size PA is needed, how to hook everything up, and how to optimize the sound for the space. Before Matt joined the Long and McQuade family, he was the technical director for the West End Cultural Centre, The Park Theatre, and Big Fun Festival in Winnipeg.

Live Looping in Practice and Performance with Jason Eastwood
Join well-known Winnipeg artist Jason Eastwood as he offers tips and tricks for live looping. Apply these techniques to your practice sessions and live performances! Jason holds a Bachelor of Music and a Masters in Musicology from Dalhousie University. He has worked with recording engineer Endre Lukacsy (AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith and Page/Plant) at Night Deposit Studios. Jason has a deep seated passion for performance, songwriting and improvisation.
