Live Looping with TL Douglas
Live looping has become increasingly popular in recent history, as it offers the ability for a single musician to create multiple layers to their live music, resulting in a sound close to that of a full band. TL Douglas will discuss looping techniques and equipment used in his live performances. TL will cover the looping basics, like tips and techniques valid for all looping devices, including the simplest single-shot and single-track models. He will also cover multitrack techniques, and focus on arranging and performing with advanced loopers, with an emphasis on breaking out of predictable looping. Lastly, TL will explore all the digital possibilities available when looping within a digital system.

Digital Recording on a Budget with Doug Biggs
Our own Doug Biggs will discuss everything you need to know to get going with digital recording on a shoestring. He will present ideas on when to invest in quality gear, and how to build a functional studio gradually. He’ll also offer you some tips and tricks on how to use the gear!

Saturday, March 24 | 5-6pm
Drum Skinning and Tuning with Brent Ramsden
Our drum guru Brent will unravel the mysterious lost art of properly skinning and tuning your drums. For this clinic, bring your own drum (you know, the one in the corner with all the dents in the skin), and Brent will walk you through getting it back into tip top shape in this hands on clinic.
