Product specialist Dustin Good from Roland Canada will discuss the planning and execution of live electronic sets using hardware synthesizers and drum machines. Roland’s boutique line of synthesizers will be used as the core of the set up. Dustin’s approach will emphasize the importance of balancing prepared material and setting the groundwork for improvisation.

Open Tunings for Guitar 101 with Lester Quitzau
Join award winning folk/roots/blues guitarist Lester Quitzau for a workshop on open tunings. Lester will perform, present and introduce the concept of open tunings and how to use them to expand your sound. Alternate tunings have been used by many great songwriters and slide guitar players, including Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Keith Richards, and Ry Cooder, just to name a few. We’ll try out one or two, and explore and play around with chord shapes.
