Learn about timing, groove, syncopation, drum dynamics, technique, speed and fills! All ages welcome, minimum 6 months playing experience required.

Ever wondered how songs are written and wanted to write one of your own? By the end of camp you will have an original composition of your own! Topics covered include: music theory, scale recognition, chord progressions, modulation, melody writing, motif & phrase development, notation, form & structure, rhythmic composition, and style, genres & periods. Camp includes a final performance of original pieces.
- July 10 - 14 @ 3 - 5pm
- $200
- Students should have a primary ability to read notes and clap rhythms, and also play at least one harmonic instrument. Voice and drum students also welcome.
Learn rhythms, bowings & song structures! By the end of the first class, students will be able to play one popular fiddle tune. All ages welcome!

SUMMER ROCK SKOOL
Do you want to be part of a rock band? Would you like to rock the stage with your presence? Do you like to jam with live musicians? If so, then come and join Long & McQuade's Rock Skool and be part of a band, jam with other band members and put up a performance at the end of camp!
- July 24 - 28 @ 2 - 5pm

- Must have primary to intermediate level of playing at least one of the following instruments: guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and a love for singing and experience singing along to the radio/karaoke
A CAPPELLA VOICE ENSEMBLE CAMP
Do you want to learn new skills and improve your singing? Do you want to meet new people and make new friends? Join our a cappella camp! We will focus on making music as a group and learning how to harmonize with each other. We will be teaching basic vocal technique, ear training, and sight reading while catering the lessons to the skills of the campers, making sure that all skill levels learn something new. A love for singing and experience singing along to music required. Students will have one private lesson with the teacher before the start of camp for voice type selection.
