If you are having trouble learning by ear, memorizing progressions and patterns, or even if you are not, joining a mentored rock band is the way to fast track achieving your musical goals, and performing your favorite songs on a real stage, with professional sound and lighting, in front of an adoring audience of family, friends and fans alike!

The Long & McQuade rock band program is designed to allow you to hone your developing musical skills by joining a group under the direction of skilled and qualified musical mentors. Join Sonic Planet Rock School founder and music mentor Dave Danylchuk, who will take you through the process of starting and building a band.

Dave will cover:

• Key aspects of learning music
• Understanding integration of parts
• How to memorize music
• Basic theory
• Function, rhythm, phrasing and counting
• The importance of listening
• Tips for productive rehearsals

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and musical educator, Dave Danylchuk, currently performs with the top 40 party band Korkscrew, plays keys in the dynamic duo Noah Nine, and is developing a Tom Petty Tribute Experience. He started Sonic Planet Rock School in Vancouver in 2005 and has taught hundreds of bands, thousands of songs, and has seen several of his students continue their musical journeys as a direct result of the training and inspiration of the rock school.
