The Journey of Songwriting with André Picard
Join André as he takes you along the musical journey of making a song your own. Originally from Edmundston NB, André Picard is a bilingual singer-songwriter who has been passionate about music since the age of 4, with the help of a guitar. Influenced by the Beatles, bluegrass, blues, folk and progressive rock, he is constantly fueled to create melodies and arrangements for committed listeners. In addition, his collaborations with a wide variety of professional musicians allow him to weave down the road of harmonies and rhythms while respecting the spaces between the notes.

Ukulele Blues for Beginners with Manitoba Hal
Using the chords C, F, and G7, beginners are guided through a basic 12-bar blues progression, including shuffle strumming patterns and the turnaround. Play through the entire workshop while learning theory as it applies to the blues and the ukulele. Players only need to know those three chords and have a basic ability with strumming and changing chords. Bring your own ukulele or borrow one of ours!
