Grab your drum and join us for this fun and interactive clinic! Shelly has been an educator, music therapist and performer for over 30 years. She has studied hand drumming in the U.S. and Cuba, and is highly sought after as a drum workshop clinician and gigging musician. Shelly currently performs with Helle’s Belles.

Ukulele 101 with Suzanne Doane
Join Suzanne as she teaches the basics of the ukulele in both C6 and D6 tunings. Suzanne has been a music educator and ukulele teacher for over 30 years. She is the director of the Ukuleles Unlimited Ukulele Program for students in grade 4 and up, and has taught a variety of workshops across Canada. Suzanne is a Dalhousie
University Music Education graduate and also has a JHUI teacher certification.

Guitar Maintenance with Lyndon MacKenzie
Lyndon will be addressing fundamentals such as guitar stringing, working with locking tremolo systems, string gauges, setup and intonation. He will also discuss environmental impacts on the guitar, including telltale signs of dryness through the winter months, the effects of home heating and various approaches to humidification.

Computer Recording 101 with John Kendall
If you are thinking about or just entering the world of PC- or Mac-based home recording, join John as he explores the basics of computer recording in Cubase. He will cover how to set up your interface and connect your instruments and mics. Gain an understanding of microphone placement, recording levels, mixing, EQ, processing and use of effects. John has been actively involved in Recording for over 20 years and currently plays in several bands.
