Learn the basics of what you need to capture your music using your computer. From hardware to software, learn what components are necessary and how to set up your new gear to begin recording in minutes. Ray has over 30 years of studio and recording experience. He is a sales manager at Yorkville Sound, owns Synergy Studio in Pickering, and spends much of his free time educating others in the art of audio engineering.

‘Texassippi Soul Man’ Danny Brooks, now settled in Llano Texas, will be returning to Ontario to talk about and play his award-winning blues music. Danny will share business and industry tips in between playing Southern Soul music that mixes blues, soul, Americana, mountain, gospel & reggae. The presentation will prove motivational, inspirational and practical in terms of furthering your musical goals.

Speed and Fluid Motion Around the Drums with Mark Hamon

Discover new directions with your drumset with published author and our very own lesson centre instructor Mark Hamon. This clinic will cover topics such as: a comprehensive, non-rudimental approach to the drumset for beginners to professionals, straight drum-to-drum patterns with cross-stick configurations as well as answers to any questions you may have.

Percussion Workshop with Warren Elder 

The workshop will feature concert and hand percussion from around the world, including Marimba, djembe and conga. Warren holds a Bachelor of Music in Percussion from Western University and has performed with the UWO Symphony Orchestra, International Symphony Orchestra, UWO Wind Ensemble, UWO Percussion Ensemble and the Band of the Ceremonial Guard and various local rock and pop bands. Warren is well versed in all styles and has been teaching and playing a variety of rock, pop, jazz and metal for over 10 years.
