Playing for the Song with Russ Kunkel

We are tremendously honoured and privileged to present a living legend at Long & McQuade Courtenay. Russ has played with everyone in your record collection. Artists like Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Neil Young, and James Taylor are just a few who have chosen him to hold down the rhythm on their timeless recordings. He currently plays with Lyle Lovett and graced our Music Fest stage last summer. As a drummer for songwriters, Russ is known for carrying the groove in a way that accentuates the song. How do you become a legendary drummer without being a showboat? Russ will tell you how he did it.
