Jazz It Up with Joe Waye Jr.
Join Joe for his always popular JAZZ IT UP clinic. Joe has been a music educator, studio session player and gigging musician for over 40 years. He studied jazz with Toronto legend Art DeVilliers, and has shared the stage with Juno Award-winning artists Kirk Macdonald and Mike Murley. Joe has released several jazz CDs and currently plays with The Joe Waye Trio.

Ukulele 101 with Suzanne Doane
Suzanne has been a music educator and ukulele teacher for over 30 years. She is the director of the Ukuleles Unlimited Ukulele Program for students for grades 4 and up, and has taught a variety of workshops across Canada. Suzanne is a Dalhousie University Music Education graduate and also has a JHUI teacher certification. Please bring your ukulele for what is sure to be a fun event.

Groove Essentials with Ron Leadbeater
Please join us for an informative and interactive clinic with Ron Leadbeater as he presents the grooves essential to any drummer. Ron will explore essential groove patterns, from basic to complex. Ron has been actively involved in the music industry as a gigging musician, drum clinician & music educator. He has shared the stage with some of the world’s best drummers during The Cape Breton Drum Festivals.

Hand Drumming with Shelly Allen
Grab your drum and join us for this fun and interactive clinic! Shelly has been an educator, music therapist and performer for over 30 years. She has studied hand drumming in the U.S. and Cuba, and is highly sought after as a drum workshop clinician and gigging musician. Shelly currently performs with Helle’s Belles.
