A Chamber Ensemble is a group of two or more players working as a group to practice, perform and develop their musical abilities. Up until the late 18th century, before the new movement of the virtuosi (solo performer) integrated into society, musicians always played and performed together. People gathered and played chamber music as an enjoyable way to spend time.
Lada Lagover has designed this course to give young students an opportunity to play in an ensemble that is specifically arranged to match the student’s current level of playing.
This six week program will focus on:
- having fun
- ensemble playing
- following a conductor
- pitch recognition
- intonation
- musicianship
