Guitar Effects 101 with Blair Marshall and Geoff McKinnon
Looking for that certain “tone” or “effect” but can’t seem to nail it? Are you confused by the endless choices of effects processors out there? Then this presentation is for you! Blair and Geoff will provide you with an informative introduction to some of the most popular pedal types and sounds (along with a bit of history on each!) including distortion, overdrive, fuzz, boost, delay, reverb, phaser, chorus and more. You will also learn how to achieve the “classic” sounds, features and benefits of the various effects, signal flow between pedals (order, cabling, etc.), setting up a pedal board, power supplies, effects loops and more.

Drumming Techniques & Tips with Drum Instructor Pascal Deslongchamps
Pascal will be covering many topics and tips to help you improve your timing, technique and versatility. Everything from setting up your kit for maximum playability, proper stick grip, hi hat techniques, playing with a click track, metronome or recorded music, playing different styles, preparing for auditions, solos and more will be covered at this informative and entertaining drum clinic.

P.A. System Basics with Mark Taylor and Dan Martin
Anything and everything you wanted to know about putting together or enhancing your existing sound system will be covered at this presentation. Topics to be discussed include selecting the right equipment for your specific needs, hooking it all up properly, how to do a proper sound check, selecting the right cables, microphones and accessories, basic signal flow concepts, dealing with feedback, equalization, effects processing, monitors, mic positioning and more.
