Creative Guitar with Russell Broom
Russell Broom is a JUNO, AMPIA, WCMA and SOCAN Award winning "music guy” whose guitar work can be heard on projects for Jann Arden, Robbie Williams, Josh Groban, Belle Starr, Emm Gryner, Mae Moore, Jason McCoy and a myriad of others. In his workshop, Russell will talk about his unique approach to using the guitar live and in the recording studio, and how to create the textures and sounds for which he is in demand.

Writing Music for TV and Film with Steve Dodd
Steve Dodd, owner of DODDMusic, is a Calgary-based composer/ producer/ multi-instrumentalist who has been recording and touring for 25 years. He currently writes music for TV shows A&E Biography, Inside Hollywood and many others. He wrote for the feature film Blood of Our Own and scored a film for Rob Cohen (Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons). 
Topics:
• Writing music for TV and film - Dos and Don'ts, assembling your own library of music, putting together an effective demo for publishing work, using resources available to you.
• Using MIDI instruments to maximize your time and output.
• Publishing - how to get started with SOCAN, what to expect from broadcasting royalties
He will create a sample project, starting from scratch and ending with something of broadcast quality.

Creating with Ableton Live 9 with Mitch Lee

Mitch Lee is an award winning producer and composer who has created music and sound for brands like Adidas, Nintendo, Nissan, Lamborghini, Warner Brothers, ESPN and more. Mitch is an Ableton certified trainer and founder of Calgary's music production and DJ school, Beat Drop. In this workshop, you will learn
• How easy it is to loop, play, record and create with Live.
