Learn the proper way of running a PA system for your event, whether you’re playing music from an iPod or laptop, or setting up for a full band. Topics to be covered include setting up wired and wireless mics, subwoofers and EQ'ing properly for the venue.

Caring for Your Instruments in the Canadian Climate with Chris Mercer

We will mainly be looking at the care of acoustic and electric guitars, and basses. We will look at the basic maintenance of your instrument during weather changes, as well as how to properly set up your instrument through restrings, truss rod adjustments, intonation and saddle or bridge height.

Songwriting 101 with Justin Ley

Aimed at aspiring songwriters, this seminar will go into detail about the mechanics of songwriting. We will cover the theory of songwriting; playing and writing in a key signature (what chords we can use with others to structure a song); diatonic harmony, chord/scale relationships; melody VS rhythm, and getting a firm grasp on the major scale and its major (no pun intended) role in composition.

From Pre-production to the Finished Product with Kahler Legacy

A follow up to the songwriting workshop, this session will provide those interested with the producing tools that professional studios offer when building a demo or album. Focus will be on the process of taking a song from pre-production to the finished project, including some before & after samples and a few tricks of the trade that can be beneficial to any musicians hoping to record their music.
