FREE Guitar Clinic with Tim Millar from Protest the Hero - Various Locations
Long & McQuade is thrilled to present a free in-store guitar clinic with Tim Millar with Whitby's prog metal darlings, Protest the Hero.
Entitled "Writing Progressive Music for Two Guitars," the clinic will cover:
- different options for chord progressions, rhythmic syncopation, harmonies and counterpoint
- examples from Protest the Hero's latest record, Scurrilous, in which Tim will look at a specific guitar line and analyze the different things that can be done to enhance the part when adding a second guitar
- a discussion of ways to write progressive music, and hurdles and complications that can come up while writing
