Master Class with Alan Parsons - Toronto, ON

Global Music Depot is proud to announce the first ever Canadian Master Class Training Session with Alan Parsons!

Alan Parsons is a world renowned British audio engineer, producer, and musician, best known for his involvement with the production of several significant albums, including The Beatles’ Abbey Road and Let It Be, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, and his own group, The Alan Parsons Project.

Attendees of this incredible experience will have the rare opportunity to participate in a recording session with Alan Parsons in the producer’s chair. Session musicians for the event feature the acclaimed Toronto band, the David Barrett Trio, and special guest vocalist Paul Reid.

This 1-day hands-on session is geared towards those with some knowledge of DAW recording and experience as musician, engineer, or producer. The Master Class is also fitting for music production/recording students and home studio enthusiasts. Attendees will witness all stages of a recording session with Alan Parsons, from tracking to overdubs (including lead and backing vocals), to mixing.

There are 2 ticket options available and each one has limited seating:

Platinum Seats: Limited to 20 people ONLY! You’ll spend the day inside the control room with Alan gaining hands-on experience and assist in the production decisions. Discuss with Alan and other control room attendees options and alternatives, the pros and cons of each and see first-hand how the final product is shaped throughout the day. The price for a Platinum Seat is $800.

Gold Seats: In the comfort of the Noble Street Studios lounges, watch via closed-circuit, high definition video-feed how decisions made in the Control Room affect the final outcome. Meet with Alan at intervals throughout the day to discuss the day’s proceedings, ask questions, and get guidance from the “Best of the Best”! The price for a Gold Seat is $400.

All ticket holders will receive a free copy Alan Parsons’ 3 DVD set – The Art & Science of Sound Recording (Retail Value $149.99) as well as a “By Invitation Only” ticket to a VIP Reception to be held at the end of the day. All day Refreshments, Continental Breakfast, Lunch, PLUS 2 evening “Wine/Beer” tickets & Hors D’oeuvres are also included.
