Composing with Laura Pettigrew
Join Laura as she explores techniques and strategies for composing music. This workshop will offer up-and-coming composers the chance to explore the creative process and gain valuable insight into writing and marketing their music in the industry.

Wednesday, March 14 | 7-9pm
Basic DJ Techniques & Training with DJ Quartz
This class is designed to teach basic scratching and mixing techniques. Learn about the parts of mixers and turntables and how they interconnect. Also learn about Digital Vinyl Systems such as Serato Scratch Live and how they play a part in today’s DJ market.

Saturday, March 17 | 1-3pm
Afro-Cuban Drumming with Ramiro Sepulveda
This clinic will cover technique and rudiments of multiple Afro Cuban instrumentation.  There will be an overview of instruments including bongos, congas, bells, claves, blocks, guiro and maracas.  Learn about the evolution of Afro-Cuban drumming and how it integrated into Cuban and North American music. Participants will have a chance to play some of the instruments and rhythms in an ensemble setting.

Introduction to Live Sound with Danny Latham
This clinic is for musicians who will be setting up the PA before they play, and the techs who will be sitting behind the mixer during the show.  Learn the basics of setting up a PA system and be more confident with your knowledge of PA equipment to make yourself sound better.
