Basic Guitar Maintenance with Andrew Rzeszutek

Learn proper string changing; tuning and intonation; basic set-up; long term care in the Canadian climate and more.


Saturday, March 17th | 1-3pm (Wall St)
Being A Successful Session Player with Greg Lowe

Greg Lowe covers the many styles required to be a versatile session player.
During this workshop, acoustic, electric and nylon string guitar will be covered as well as bass, mandolin, lap steel and banjo.

Throughout the session he will also create a Pro Tools recording and discuss basic recording techniques.

DJ clinic with Mama Cutsworth

One of the leading DJs on the Canadian prairies, Mama Cutsworth’s appeal comes from playing and remixing music that lives outside of the mainstream club scene. This clinic will appeal to people interested in DJing and turntablism.
Using traditional turntables, a DJ mixer and the computer software Scratch Live, Mama Cutsworth will demonstrate basics in beat matching, scratching and juggling, followed by some hands-on time for each participant.

Home Music Production Using Pro-Tools with James Creasey

Veteran session guitarist James Creasey’s career spans over three decades of studio and live performance. Moving into digital was a welcome change for
James, who has moved into producing and composing for film and television. His Juno-nominated trilogy Longhouse was self composed, produced and engineered for EMI Records, and was recorded entirely in Pro Tools. In this clinic, James will cover:
•    A Brief history on Pro Tools and digital recording
•    System setup, operating system optimization and troubleshooting
•    Virtual instrument implementation and conversion to real audio
•    Introduction to Editing, Effects, Automation and Mixing
