The Nash Ensemble, Resident Ensemble at London’s legendary Wigmore Hall, teams up with Canadians Michael McMahon and Nathalie Paulin to perform exquisite music for voice and chamber ensemble. Discover another facet of Liszt’s art in his delightful settings of Victor Hugo. Fauré’s subtly shaded songs on texts by Paul Verlaine are among the best in the French song tradition. Chausson and Schubert supply jewel-like wonders, and Mendelssohn, his lyrical and searching D minor piano trio.
