  • Rock Skool: Get Loud! A week of rehearsing classic and contemporary rock hits, culminating in a Friday performance for family and friends. Some experience required.
  • Special Needs Music Program: Kids group 6-12 years; Teen group 13-18 years. Developed for children with learning disabilities and behavioural challenges, this program provides a fun and educational opportunity for students to participate in 6 weeks of music instruction. This program is designed by Taya Beauchemin, who has extensive training in Music Therapy.
  • Jazz Camp: For intermediate students who are planning to audition for the jazz band at high school or university. Focusing on improvising, reading music in a jazz style and jazz-specific technique, this class will allow the student to practice in an actual small band setting. The goal of this class is to gain valuable jazz band experience, build confidence performing in an ensemble and to continue the love of music. All instruments are welcome.
  • Flamenco Guitar Workshop: Join our residence Flamenco expert for six sessions exploring the nuances of the Flamenco style.
  • African Percussion Ensemble: This course allows students to learn hand drumming, such as djembe, doundoun, timbales, congas, bongos, shekere and drumsets. Students will experience the drum circle, as well as learn how to play along with a sequencer while playing with other musicians at the same time. Our featured guest drum clinician is Yoro Noukoussi, a unique and accomplished musician from Benin, West Africa. His personality mixed with his skills makes learning fun for all age groups. His field of expertise is traditional African music as well as African Pop music.
  • Refresher Piano Camp: A program for children with a litte piano experience who want to brush up on their skills before starting back into regular lesson times during the school year. A combination of the materials and techniques covered during the school year with an introduction to playing pop music makes this a fun and new experience for young piano players.
  • Classical Woodwind Ensemble: This class will help students prepare for a successful school year by developing the necessary ensemble performing skills that all school band teachers look for when grading students. The valuable experiences gained by playing in an ensemble setting help students continue their love of playing music.
  • Music Theatre Camp: Have fun and gain confidence while learning the skills used for Musical Theatre through improvisation, theatre games, singing and fun choreography. This camp is designed to nurture and expand your child's creativity. Students will be coached to improve reading and comprehension skills, develop their own unique voices, learn simple but effective choreography and create characters and develop acting skills.
  • Beginner Guitar Camp: Ages 8+. No experience required. Students will learn about chords, picking and strumming, developing rhythm, basic theory and playing songs.
