Producing and Recording Clinic with Mladen Alexander - North York, ON

Long & McQuade North York is excited to be hosting a free producing and recording clinic with music industry veteran Mladen Alexander.

Mladen is a songwriter, producer, and multi instrumentalist who has appeared on numerous hit records and who is a driving force on the artist development front. Mladen started out early as both a musician and a songwriter. Armed with an entrepreneurial spirit, by the age of 17 he had formed his own label and released his first record in Canada and the U.K. Three years later, he had signed his first major recording contract with Clive Davis’ Relativity Records. His first international publishing deal soon followed when he was signed to Paramount Pictures/Famous Music.

By the age of 24, Mladen was playing guitar, co-writing and recording with Canadian power trio Triumph and playing guitar on Tom Cochrane's multi platinum Mad Mad World CD. Shortly thereafter, with his bandmate Matthew Gerrard (Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, High School Musical), Mladen signed a multi million dollar publishing and recording contract with EMI. Over the years he has shared the studio and stage with the likes of John Mayer, The Foo Fighters, Joss Stone, Macy Gray and many others.

He has garnered many accolades and awards along the way, including 4 Juno Award nominations, The Canadian Radio Star's National Songwriter of the Year, The Galaxie Rising Star Award, a Canadian Music Award nomination for song of the year as well as a number of top ten singles including the #1 hit radio single “Walk Away.” In July ‘07 Mladen signed with International Publisher OLE MUSIC PUBLISHING and is writing, producing, and delivering new music to labels, television and motion pictures.
