Long & McQuade and Yamaha are bringing legendary drummer Gerry Brown to two of our stores for a special clinic!

Gerry’s musical journey spans over four decades, and has culminated extended musical relationships with legendary artists. His musical career started with fellow schoolmate Stanley Clarke who introduces Gerry as a "Master Drummer" and the "first musician I ever played with!” Gerry along with Stanley crafted the revolutionary School Days recording which continues to inspire drummers and bassists worldwide.

Gerry has also earned the distinction of holding the drum chair for the legendary Stevie Wonder for 14 years, Lionel Ritchie for four and Diana Ross for the last eight years. His long list of accomplishments has landed him on stages and in recording studios with George Benson, Marcus Miller, John Lee and Phillip Bailey. He also has worked with the Brothers Johnson, Roberta Flack, Joe Sample, Vanessa Williams, Larry Coryell, and Chick Corea  & Return To Forever.

Gerry is presently residing in Los Angeles, and continues to be a driving force in today's music industry. His first instructional Drum Video  "R & B Drumming with Gerry Brown" was released to critical acclaim by numerous music publications. Gerry's insight as an educator and performer has established him as a sought after clinician for Yamaha Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Vater Drumsticks and Evans Drumheads.

Gerry is currently touring with Diana Ross and is working on establishing his own entertainment company dedicated to promoting Inspirational  Entertainment – Xclaim Entertainment Group.
