The Victoria Cello Club welcomes players of all ages and levels to come together for a unique cello experience.
The club is offering classes at the Beginner and Intermediate level. All classes will be held at the Long & McQuade Music Education Centre. To register call 250-384-3620 or email [email protected].

If you are a returning student and get a friend to sign up, he/she will receive one free class, and you will receive one free lesson credit. Not applicable to drop-in students.
Beginner Cello Ensemble/Celtic Playing: Level 1
Instructor: Monique Fink
Age: All Ages Welcome
Duration: 1 hour/week; 20 weeks (No Class April 17, 24, May 22)
Cost: $323 (Drop In: $20)

End Date: May 29, 2010
Class Time: 10-11am
Players with basic knowledge of the cello who can play scales and read basic music. Sight-reading a plus but not required.
Yes, cellists CAN have melody too! Looking to meet new cellists at your level who share the same passion as you? Look no further! This beginner cello ensemble class will allow players to have fun and play with other cellists! We will be playing group solo pieces, learning to play as an ensemble with two or more different parts, and learning Celtic fiddle pieces. The class will focus on developing your listening skills, as well as playing scales and with better tone quality. (Note: Music will be available for pick up one week before the first class at the Long & McQuade Music Education Center).
New students are welcome throughout the semester.

Intermediate Cello Ensemble/Celtic Playing: Level 2

Age: All Ages Welcome
Duration: 45 minutes/week; 20 weeks (No Class April 17, 24, May 22)

Class Time: 11am-12noon
Players with knowledge of the cello who can play easily up into fourth position and can read music (equivalent to Suzuki Level 1/2.)

We will be focusing on developing your listening skills, learning to play as an ensemble, as well as playing scales and with better tone quality. 2-3 octave scales will be learned. (Note: Music will be available for pick up one week before the first class at the Long & McQuade Music Education Center).
