Recording Fundamentals - Victoria, BC

Geared towards those working in the home studio environment, this class helps to provide a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts and tools of the recording studio. Because we only have 9 hours of class time, the class moves fairly quickly and there is no time for a hands-on component. The techniques and skills discussed in each class are accompanied by demonstrations, but students are expected to practice their new skills and understanding on their own time.

Demonstrations will be given using Pro Tools LE, but all topics covered during the class apply to all recording platforms, both software and hardware. Because students use a variety of different platforms and time is limited, software and platforms are only covered in very broad strokes.

Previous recording experience is not necessary, though it can be helpful.
