Group Lessons
Our guitar/ukulele instructor Daniel Rayney will conduct a five week long group class covering ukulele basics including tuning, chords, and basic music theory and sight reading while learning fun songs in a friendly and supportive group environment. The class runs every Thursday from 5:00-6:00PM from November 21st to December 19th for an all inclusive cost of $130. Bethany has been playing piano since 2010 and achieved her grade 9 RCM. She has worked with children of all ages and abilities in various settings. She was raised with a strong musical background and attended Canadore College for Theatre Arts, graduating in 2019. Her rate is $26 per ½ hour lesson.

Catherine has been an instructor for over 25 years in central Ontario and North Bay, specializing in elementary piano pedagogy. She has completed all theory and history certificates at the A.R.C.T. (Associate Diploma in Piano Performance) level for the Royal Conservatory of Music . She is also an affiliate member f of O.R.M.T.A. (Ontario Registered Teachers Association). Her rate is $25 per ½ hour lesson.

Chip joined the RCAF in 1973. In 1986 he decided he needed a career change and in 1986 enrolled in the Volunteer Musician Program at 14 Wing Canadian Forces Base, studying saxophone there until 1989 when he was transferred to 22 Wing CFB North Bay. Chip continued his studies at the Canadian Forces School of Music and did Basic Improvisation & Keyboard Method & Theory through Berklee College of Music. He was appointed Director of the 22 Wing CFB North Bay in 1998 and served there until 2016. He was the Ensemble Director and Saxophone Instructor for the Nipissing University Applied Music Programme. Chip has performed with the Central Band of The Canadian Forces, 8 Wing CFB Trenton, The Continentals Big Band, Nightshift Dance Band and still performs with the After Hours Jazz Combo and the 22 Wing Military Band. His Rate is $26 per 1/2 hour lesson.

Cole received his degree in Performance for Drums & Percussion at Centennial College, and has experience teaching students of all ages through multiple music schools in Barrie. His background spans multiple genres including rock, blues, solo, jazz, R&B, latin, boss nova, samba, salsa, calypso, assorted Indian and African genres, and more. Aside from teaching, he also performs with multiple acts, such as the Led Zeppelin cover band "Moby Dick" as well as his Cream tribute band, "Fresh Cream". Cole's rate is $26 per 30 minute lesson.

Daniel teaches students of all ages, in multiple genres including Rock, Blues, Country and Classical guitar technique. Daniel studied at Wilfred Laurier University under Terry McKenna in a Bachelor of Music program for guitar performance. Jordan began his cello training at Cambrian College under the guidance of former NBSO conductor Dr. Metro Kozak. He attended the University of Ottawa music program where he studied with National Arts Centre Orchestra principal cellist Amanda Forsyth and NACO cellist Margaret Munro-Tobolowska. He has done numerous performances in Ottawa both in and outside of the University in addition to teaching stringed instruments, including his first instrument, the guitar. He is the North Bay Symphony principal cellist. Jordans rate is $26 per ½ hour lesson.

samanta izquierdo (Voice)

Samanta was born in Quito Ecuador and graduated in 2009 with a BA in music from the University of Cuenca where she studied opera. While at university she toured Europe with her band and received national recognition from the government of Ecuador.
She was Choir Director at a major school in Cuenca and has performed with students in TV shows and events and has been showcased here in North Bay by local media. She continues to perform, compose and collaborate with her band Medussah while working in Early Childhood Education. Samanta teaches voice in Contemporary, Pop, Rock and Classical styles. Her rate is $26 per 1/2 hour lesson.

With 8 years of experience, she teaches students of all ages and abilities and is dedicated to create a plan with goals while acknowledging their needs. Her rate is 26$ per 30 minute lesson.
Our Group Lessons:
Introduction to rhythm and reading the musical staff for children ages 4-6 using tuned percussion instruments (Boomwhackers) in a fun and interactive group setting. Students will learn the basics of music theory while creating and performing their own rhythms and melodies based on themes like animal sounds, weather, and different characters.
