Aaron Dimoff has been singing professionally on operatic stages across the country for the last decade. After receiving his Masters in Vocal Performance degree from UWO, he worked as a resident artist for the Calgary Opera company, performing and training with singers, conductors, and directors from around the world. Aaron has since performed on Canada's biggest stages, from the Edmonton Opera company to the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto. An avid teacher when not performing, Aaron enjoys passing on his experience to everyone from absolute beginners, to musicians pursuing a professional career.

Alexandra Morgan (Piano, Voice)

Born and raised in the Alberta Rocky Mountains, Alexandra currently resides in London as a choral scholar, freelance vocal instructor, and musician. She holds a Master's of Music degree in Performance and Literature from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the University of Lethbridge. She has performed across Canada receiving multiple grants and scholarships including the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, London Opera Guild Scholarship, and the Intermezzo Classical Voice Award. As a well rounded artist, her experience spans a variety of styles including Opera, Musical Theatre, Choral, Country, Pop, and Folk! Alexandra is passionate about teaching students of all ages and walks of life. Her lesson plans are crafted individually, ensuring each student’s goals, needs and aspirations are achieved. With a focus on self-reflective learning, Alexandra hopes to build confidence and create a fun and supportive atmosphere that allows students to experience the magic of music! Angela is a recent graduate from the University of Western Ontario with a Masters of Music in Performance and Literature (MMus. 22) and holds a Bachelor of Music Honours (BMus. 20) from the University of Saskatchewan. She is a classically trained vocalist and is currently a freelancing opera singer and a voice/piano teacher. Angela has been involved in music since she was 6 years old, from playing the piano to singing Celine Dion, AC/DC, operatic repertoire and more! She is well versed in teaching all musical styles and strives to create a learning environment that is inclusive for all types of learners. Angela wants to share her experience and passion for music, and is able to customize every lesson to meet the needs of her students.

Bev has been teaching for more than 25 years in the community and is honoured to be working with the Long and McQuade team. She is certified to Grade 10 with the Toronto Conservatory of Music with qualifications in piano, music history, harmony and theory. Bev has successfully prepared students for practical exams with RCM as well as rudiments of music. She encourages her students to become involved in the Kiwanis Music Festival of London and has coordinated numerous performance recitals. In her spare time, Bev is the organist and choir director at two churches in the London area. Whether studying for pleasure, competition or certification, all ages of students are welcome.

Candice Luo (Piano, Voice)

Candice is a classically trained operatic soprano who has a rich background in piano and symphonic strings. With choral leader experiences at HNMCS and Western University’s choral program, Candice had built strong pedagogical foundations upon which her studio teaching flourished. She obtained her Bachelor and her Master's degrees from the Don Wright Faculty of Music, and had been an active musician long before that. Currently, Candice is pursuing her doctorate degree at Western University, with dedicated research interests in diction pedagogy and interpretive musicality. Candice has been a keen performing collaborator since the age of 4, her earliest music-making started at musical soirees hosted at home. Further training and education brought Candice to become the passionate educator and communicator she is now. When off-stage, Candice finds fulfilment in vocal teaching, vocal coaching, and musical collaboration. Candice is a high-energy teacher, she involves multi-media and multi-sensory methods in her studio teaching. She has taught different instruments across genres, across all ages and levels. Candice has taught voice, piano, theory, musicianship, and beginners Suzuki strings (viola and cello). She loves working with young musicians, as she firmly believes that having fun is within the core of cultivating a true passion for music. She is a firm advocate for solid technique, optimal musical wellbeing, and holistic authentic growth for each individual.

Charnelle Pennyfeather (Voice, Piano)

Charnelle is a graduate of the Honour's Theory and COmposition Program at Western University. She is a classically trained vocalist and is currently a chorister, composer, organist and pianist at her church here in London. Charnelle has a passion for musical theatre and has composed original scores for several productions, as well as short films. She was the musical director for King's Players' production of Little Shop of Horrors, and apprenticed with the Musical Theatre on The Thames. Charnelle believes in the power of storytelling in music and encourages her students to find their own unique musical voice. She specializes in classical music, musical theatre and pop styles.

Chris Stahlke (Violin, Viola, Piano, Mandolin, Theory)

Chris has been playing violin and piano since 1983 and has been teaching privately since 1995. He holds Royal Conservatory Grade 10 diplomas for both violin and piano. Chris has played with several local orchestras, including Orchestra London and the University of Western Ontario Symphony Orchestra on violin and viola. He held the position of principal second violin with the Stratford Symphony Orchestra and is a member of various worship teams in the area. Chris enjoys recording for different artists, playing for local bands, and has had his violin playing featured on TV.

Christian Golding is a London based pianist with over a decade of expertise performing, coaching and teaching. Hailing from Pickering Ontario, Christian graduated from Western University with both a Bachelor of Music in Performance and a Master’s in Piano Literature and Performance. During his studies he worked under the tutelage of many prolific teachers, including Dr. Leslie Kinton, Gwen Beamish, and Brett Kingsbury. Christian has won many prestigious competitions including the Maritsa Brooks Concerto Competition performing Beethoven’s “Emperor” concerto with the Western University Orchestra, as well as the Kiwanis and Rotary music festivals at the provincial level. Currently, he is partaking in multiple international competitions for both duo and solo piano. As well, Christian has experience in collaborative piano, composition, music theory (rudimentary to advanced) and vocal coaching. As a passionate teacher, Christian ensures that his students receive an education that will develop them into well-rounded musicians. He enjoys working with all ages and levels and tailors each lesson to the needs and interests of the individual.

Christina Willatt is an award-winning singer and pianist who has performed in Canada, the United States and Italy. Christina graduated from the Master of Music Performance program at UWO in 2011. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Regina in Performance & Composition, as well as Grade 10 Voice and ARCT Piano diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Christina has extensive experience teaching and is the music director at the Church of St. Jude in London. She is enthusiastic to teach students of all ages and skill levels in a variety of styles and genres including classical, jazz, rock and pop.

Hubert Orlowski (Piano, Voice)

Hubert Orlowski is a Pianist, Vocalist and Multi-instrumentalist based in Ontario. Hubert began his musical journey at the age of 4 when he began studying piano in his hometown of Warsaw Poland. Shortly after immigrating to Canada at the age of 7 he began performing regularly while he continued to grow musically under the RCM piano program and developed his vocal skills by working with community and church choirs. As a teenager he started to explore other instruments including drums and bass and began teaching. While still in high school he was involved in writing music for film, leading his community choir, giving regular lessons, and performing with various youth Jazz orchestras and ensembles. After pursuing further education for Jazz he quickly found himself working full time as a performing and session musician as well as a highly sought after teacher.
Bringing with him 20 years of teaching and performing experience spanning 3 continents, all genres, and all ages, Hubert looks to meet every student where they are at and bring out the best in them while helping them experience the joy of music.

Katelyn Murphy (Piano, Voice, Theory)

Katelyn has three years of teaching experience. They have completed exams up to level eight in the Royal Conservatory of Music and are currently pursuing an associate's diploma in piano performance, as well as having professional training in choir and solo singing. They enjoy teaching students who are preparing for RCM exams in piano, as well as those who have different goals for taking lessons. Katelyn use a personalized approach, using individuals' needs and goals while integrating theory, technique, and musical comprehension. They aim to foster creativity within their students to find their musical voice and share their passion and love for music. Menelaos Menelaou (Violin, Piano)

Menelaos Menelaou was born in Cyprus, into a family of musicians. He took his first violin lessons from his father G. Menelaou, and at fourteen years old was accepted at the Central Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied with K. Sementsov – Ogijevski and Z.Machtina. He continued his studies at the Moscow State Conservatory under G. Feigin and M. Fedotov, graduating in 1996 with Honors. In 2000, he completed the Post Graduate Course of the same Conservatory, in the class of Professor Z.Schichmurzaeva.
Menelaos has given numerous recitals in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Sweden, Greece, Cyprus, and USA, and has performed as a soloist with the Ostrava Symphony Orchestra at the prestigious BHS Festival in Bratislava, and with the Cyprus State Orchestra.
From 2001 to 2021 he lived in Cyprus, where in addition to his diverse solo and chamber music performances, he devoted himself to teaching and to developing a violin school on the Island. He held teaching positions at the European University of Cyprus, the Program for the Development of New Talents of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the G. Menelaou Music School and at the Nicosia Music Lyceum. During his teaching career spanning over twenty years, he taught students of all levels and ages. Many of them were accepted in prestigious academies in Europe, became professional musicians and have successful careers as performers and teachers. During his tenure at the Program for the Development of New talents, beside teaching, Menelaos directed the string ensemble, an ensemble that appeared in numerous important events and concerts in Cyprus, Italy, Austria, and Russia.
In August 2021, Menelaos moved to London, Ontario where he is pursuing his Doctor of Violin Performance Degree at the Western University, studying under Dr. Annette-Barbara Vogel. His main fields of interest are 20th century and Contemporary music, as well as violin pedagogy.

Scott McIlwraith (Piano)

Scott is a local musician and educator who is keenly interested in working with students to provide a personalized lesson approach. With strong emphasis on creative learning and play, Scott utilizes modern teaching strategies to help students appreciate and understand the foundations of music, rhythm, theory, and more.
Scott has over 5 years of full-time music teaching experience. During this span, Scott developed his own instructional resources, which include introductory piano and guitar books, as well as lesson designs for classroom music teachers. In keeping with Scott’s teaching style, these resources attempt to decrease the barrier of entry to learning music for new students - Scott believes that anybody can learn! Scott completed his Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) from Western University in 2021 and has RCM Grade 8 Piano Performance and Theory credits.

Yasmine Abedi (Piano, Voice)

Yasmin is a graduate of the Master of Music Education program at UWO. During her studies there, she focused on the neuroscience of music learning, exploring the cognitive and neurological benefits of music training for brain development. Yasmin tailors lessons to each student’s unique interests and goals, offering instruction across a wide range of musical genres and styles. As a piano and voice instructor, she emphasizes multicultural inclusivity, teaching voice in English, Farsi, French, and Italian, and incorporating cultural, folk, or contemporary genres that resonate most with her students.

An opportunity to collaborate with others playing the music you love! Come join Adult Jam Band, open for musicians of all ability. Open to instruments including drum, bass, guitar, saxophone, banjo, mandolin, voice. Music will be chosen by participants upon arrival. We look forward to seeing you there!

This exciting group will run Tuesdays from 10:30am-Noon. Classes will take place at the London North Long & McQuade Lessons Centre located at 725 Fanshawe Park Road West.

Colourful Music is a lively and engaging course designed for young musicians ages 5-10, offering an exciting introduction to piano and music theory. Through fun games, hands-on activities, and creative exercises, students will explore the basics of rhythm, song construction, and music theory in a way that feels more like play than practice.
This course focuses on building a strong musical foundation that students can carry with them across any instrument. They'll develop key skills in rhythm, melody, and harmony while also creating their own original musical pieces. Additionally students will vote on their compositions for a weekly "Composition of the Week", which is featured in the Lessons Centre and on the Long & McQuade London North Instagram!
By the end of the course, students will have a solid grasp of music theory that will serve as a stepping stone for future musical growth. Whether they're just starting out or looking to build their musical knowledge, Colourful Music offers a fun, supportive environment where learning comes naturally.
This course is an hour long and runs bi-weekly on Thursdays.
Session A is from 4:00pm -5:00pm
Session B is from 5:00pm -6:00pm
Get ready to rock March Break! This year we have revamped the program to ensure students get the most out of this experience! All workshops and rehearsals will be run by Alex, Kelly & Scott Homer.
Join us at Long & McQuade London North for Rock Skool, a week-long camp where young musicians ages 8-18 can learn what it takes to be part of a rock band! In the mornings students will participate in workshops focused on key elements of being in a rock band. Topics will include Recording, Production Techniques, Band Branding, Social Media Promotion, Lyric Writing, and Instrument Specific Soloing. In the afternoon students will work with in groups to develop their own band, including defining their unique style, sound and look. They will run rehearsals to hone in their new skills prepare for a final concert.
The camp will conclude with a live performance showcasing the talent and teamwork developed throughout the week. Adoring fans (family and friends) are invited to attend, and watch this amazing show!
