Helena is a versatile instrumentalist who has over a decade of experience studying saxophone, clarinet, flute, and trumpet. Since studying music and history at Queen’s University, she has been performing locally and across Canada with a diverse range of musical projects. Her varied musical experiences, ranging from traditional jazz and classical, to collaborating on electronic music and indie rock groups, give her a strong understanding of how to develop strong fundamental technique in order to meet your individual aspirations as a musician. Helena has been a passionate arts educator since 2016, teaching in private and classroom settings. She is committed to ensuring an accessible learning experience for students of all identities and abilities. Helena looks forward to understanding her students' individual goals and supporting their musical development through consistency and fun throughout the process.
Helena charges $26 per half hour.

karine coderre (Piano, Flute)

Karine is a classical musician, who started studying music from a very young age. She started learning the piano at five years old and is still taking advanced lessons to date. As a flutist, she has been learning flute since she was twelve years old and currently majoring in flute in the Queen’s University’s Bachelor of Music program. She has attended various competitions since she started learning music as both a pianist and a flutist. Most recently, she competed in the 2024 Ontario Music Festivals Association (OMFA) and won second place in the final round of the Woodwind Open Category.
Karine charges $26 per half hour.

tim roberts (saxophone, clarinet, flute)

Teaching Day(s): Monday

Emerging from the 1960's rock 'n roll, R&B and jazz scene in London, Ontario, Tim's musical career has included shows with Roy Orbison and Ronnie Hawkins, performances at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and a gala performance for Ronald Reagan during a stint as musical director of the showband Explosion.For 15 years Tim augmented his performing career by teaching for two school boards and a community college in Hull, Quebec. During that time his Heritage College Big Band won a national award and were commissioned by members of Duke Ellington's family to perform some of Ellington's religious works. Currently Tim is performing and recording with various Eastern Ontario acts, teaching Saxophone Performance at St. Lawrence College here in Kingston, and joined our Lesson Centre in 2017.
Tim charges $26 per half hour private lesson.
