Lessons Coordinator
Julia Doran
Julia is a graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University’s Creative Industries program in which she studied the music industry. She started piano and guitar lessons at a young age and later attended the University of Toronto playing French Horn. Julia understands the importance of music education and is excited to watch the students in our lesson centre grow into great musicians!
Our Group Lessons:
Known affectionately as “Miss Amy,” she brings warmth, patience, and flexibility to every class, blending routines and consistency with engaging, imaginative play. In her classes, children and their caregivers explore musical concepts using instruments and props like scarves, hula hoops, parachutes, and bubbles. Movement activities are a key feature, fostering bonding between parent and child—especially as babies experience rhythm and movement while cradled in a parent’s arms.
Babies (newborn to 12 months) - Wednesdays at 12:30pm
Introducing new parents and their little ones to new and traditional songs; working on tummy time, grasping, rhythm, sign language and instrument exploration. Creating a comfortable environment to encourage socialization and bonding.
Toddlers (1 to 2 years) - Wednesdays at 11:30am
Focused on developing gross and fine motor skills through rhythm, music, and interactive play. Learning basic musical concepts like rhythm and tempo, as well as early language development.
Preschool (18 months to 3 years) - Wednesdays at 10:30am
Structured activities that explore early musical concepts, movement and dance, and early literacy and language development.
