cansu yeni (Piano)

Cansu Yeni began her music life professionally at the age of 13. Her career was kickstarted with the piano and the viola in a specialized music program in high school, which was followed by her education in the Musicology Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory in Istanbul, Turkey. She has been giving piano lessons since 2011, while she also worked as a music publisher. She loves the connection between music and law, as well as education! While Cansu was teaching in Istanbul, she prepared her students for Trinity College London and London College of Music exams. She gave music consultancy for several pianists and music schools for their piano method books regarding musicology and music publishing contents. Cansu believes that “when we understand the language of music, we are able to love and perform it at any age”. Her aim is to help her students to build connections about music.Cansu's rate is $26 per half hour lesson.

eric burry (Piano, Guitar, Ukulele)

Eric Burry is multi-instrumentalist originally from Churchill Falls, Labrador, where he found his love for music at a young age. He began piano lessons at the age of 5, and began teaching lessons of his own at the beginning of senior highschool, teaching for 3 years before moving to St. John’s to attend Memorial University. Eric is an experienced group performer, having played with groups such as the CBS Band and various other small bands. He is also an experienced music instructor, having taught private lessons as well as lessons at Shine Music. Eric is a guitarist, pianist, drummer, and bassist, and is passionate about sharing his love for these instruments with his students! Eric’s rate is $25 for a 30 minute lesson.

genevieve cunningham (Voice, Piano)

Genevieve Cunningham (she/her), originally from Nova Scotia, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance and a Masters degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Memorial University. She is classically trained in Opera.

Genevieve is also RCM Certified in both voice and piano. She has a diverse background in various different styles of music including musical theatre, pop, and Celtic music. She also has experience in choirs.

Genevieve is a bilingual artist in French and English, proficient in both languages since childhood. She enjoys writing her own music for voice and piano, and is very passionate about allowing students to explore and express their own musicality. Genevieve's rate is $28 per 30 minute lesson.

sharon hynes (Piano)

Sharon offers piano lessons for all ages including a specialized curriculum for beginner adult students. Having her grade 9 RCM, she will set goals like RCM exams for the truly ambitious and offer morning, afternoon and evening lessons to suit various lifestyles. Sharon has played and toured in various bands of different genres for many years, has recorded 2 CDs with reggae band Pressure Drop and has been teaching since 1997. Sharon’s rate is $25 per half hour lesson.
