Conveniently located uptown at 981 Prospect Street, we have morning, afternoon, evening and weekend lesson times available to fit your busy schedule. Alex Doucet is a seasoned guitar and bass player with over 20 years of experience. He is well versed in many musical styles including blues, bluegrass, country, rock, pop, and jazz. Alex is a passionate and dedicated teacher who works with students of all ages and skill levels. He provides guidance on musical notation, simple chord shapes, and more advanced rhythms and leads. Arya Shahrostambeik began his musical journey at 7 years old when his parents enrolled him in a music theory class. He was taught using Orff's approach and chose to study the piano. After high school, he decided to share his love of music with others and began teaching piano and music theory as a volunteer which led him to start teaching piano privately. Arya has also worked as a session musician and played with several bands in many styles including traditional, folk, pop, rock and jazz. He has a strong passion for music and enjoys sharing that with his students. Arya's rate for a half hour private lesson is $25.

Jeff Campbell has played guitar and bass for 20+ years. Some of his specializations include: improvisation, fingerstyle guitar, slap bass, and songwriting. Over the last 15 years, Jeff has consistently performed and recorded with professional bands playing music he wrote. His influences span rock, funk, metal, jazz, indie, folk, ska, punk, and reggae. Jeff is passionate about music and the pursuit of musical learning. Jim Campbell is a multi-instrumentalist with a 50-year musical background. He enjoys classical, blues, jazz, rock, and just about everything else. Jim played sax and piano in numerous cover bands in Ontario and has also filled in on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Alto/tenor saxophone, popular piano, and harmonica are Jim’s main focus in the Fredericton lesson centre. Lessons are tailored to each student’s objectives, current abilities and musical tastes. Backing tracks are used as a teaching tool, and Jim regularly jams with students so they can experience the fun of playing together and improvising in a comfortable, supportive learning environment. Jim is comfortable teaching in English and French. His rate for a half-hour private lesson is $27.

Kathrin Welte holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Mount Allison University and a Masters of Music in Solo Vocal Performance from McGill University. Kathrin’s student-centered teaching approach draws on many techniques, teaching methods and a vast practical background in order to promote development in her students while keeping the joy of music forefront to their experience. Over the course of her 15 year career, she has kept up to date with new teaching methods and is a registered music teacher with the NBRMTA. Nathaniel Sergeant has played piano for over 20 years and taught privately for 5 years and completed his Grade 10 Royal Conservatory exam. He returned to his hometown of Fredericton in 2016, where he has focused on teaching piano, providing choral and instrumental accompaniment, and offering solo entertainment for events including weddings and regular recitals at retirement homes.
