Alexandra Berg is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who calls Victoria home. She’s earned her Diploma in Music Performance on Contemporary Vocals from Camosun College and the VCM, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Composition from Humber College in Toronto. She loves exploring a variety of vocal genres with her students like jazz, R&B, folk, musical theater, and pop. She also offers beginner and intermediate lessons for concert flute.
Alex's rate is $30 per half hour.

A multi-instrumentalist, Andrew is a performer and composer, as well as educator and has degrees from UVIC where he studied classical music and Humber College in Toronto where he studied jazz. He performs regularly in a variety of genres including jazz, reggae, funk, hiphop and rock.
Andrew's rate is $31 per half hour.

Bryn performs in a wide variety of styles with various groups around BC. He has a BMus from UVIC and was previously principal trumpet with the Vancouver Island Symphony. He teaches all the brass instruments.

Chris received a diploma with Honors from Selkirk College in Contemporary Music & Technology in 2005, where he majored in performance. He has a relaxed yet professional approach to lessons with extensive experience in a variety of genres.

Cleo Yong has been teaching musicians of all ages and abilities since 2015. With a bachelor’s degree in Violin Orchestral Studies from UVic (2022), she is currently pursuing an MA in Musicology from the University of Victoria. As part of her music education, Cleo studied and performed both the violin and viola. Cleo enjoys guiding her students in their musical learning adventure and sets achievable practice goals to maintain steady improvement.

Issah has achieved numerous awards, including being selected for the title of ‘Best Drummer’ out of thousands of drummers at the Roland Worldwide V Drums competition. Having grown up in Kenya, Issah returned to Canada as a teen and attended the Vancouver Community College on a full scholarship. Issah continues to be a powerful force within the local and international music community.

Lana has extensive education in classical piano, music theory, and vocal training, including eight years with the Royal Conservatory of Music and four years of music college. She holds a Music Teacher Diploma from Moscow. Lana welcomes children and adults of all levels.

"Mr. Versatility," Larry has been teaching since age 14 and performed his debut concert by age 17. He's a versatile vocalist and proficient multi-instrumentalist playing: piano, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, flute, trumpet, guitar, and, recently, Celtic harp. In addition, he is a composer, music festival adjudicator, and award-winning published poet.

Patrick Walters is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music and has been teaching since 2003. He specializes in rock, blues, jazz, and acoustic styles. Guitar Player magazine has called his music "elegantly beautiful". Patrick has always had a great love of music which has always fueled his guitar playing and composition. He understands that everyone learns in their own way and at their own pace and when a student finds the right musical path, learning becomes a joy.

With a Masters Degree from New York University, Robert has been teaching school band since 1980, and with Glenlyon Norfolk School since 2017. He has played with numerous bands and orchestras and is currently a member of the Island Big Band.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Orchestral Studies UVIC 2020, Suzuki Training Certificate in Violin and Piano 2017, Royal Conservatory of Music Performance Diploma in Piano 2017, Grade 10 Performer’s Diploma in Violin, 2017 Teacher’s Diploma in Violin 2019, Grade 10 Theory, History, and Counterpoint 2020, and Grade 9 Voice 2017, Serena continues to learn currently pursuing a Grade 10 Performer’s diploma in Voice and a Teacher’s Diploma in Piano.

Victor has taught guitar & ukulele for many years to students ranging in age from 6 to senior. With a repertoire of over 1000 songs, Victor continues to add songs from the current music scene which he incorporates into his teaching practice. 'My style of teaching is to work with kids so they learn to play the songs they want to play, whether it's a Metallica classic, or the latest song from The Strokes'.
