Aidan is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who recently completed a diploma in music performance at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Aidan has always enjoyed sharing his love for music, and first began teaching guitar in 2019. While Aidan studied classical voice in school, he specializes in rock and metal guitar.

Aidan teaches guitar and bass guitar at our Langford location.
Aidan's rate is $30 per lesson.

With Diplomas in Music from Douglas College in New Westminster as well in Music Production from Columbia Academy in Vancouver, Doug has been teaching fundamentals of guitar performance, music theory and music production since 2000. He is well versed in classical, flamenco, Latin, funk, soul as well as the heavier end of rock and metal.

Doug teaches guitar, bass guitar, ukulele and beginner mandolin at our Langford location.

STEVE SUTTON, (B.A., Dip. Mus.) is a Vancouver Island based, Professional Bassist and Guitar Teacher who has performed locally, in Vancouver and in California. Steve was born and raised in Nanaimo and began his musical journey in the School District 68 music program playing the trombone and the classical guitar. Later, Steve attended Malaspina University College's Music Program, (now Vancouver Island University), focusing on bass guitar and double bass. He graduated in 2002.

During the summer of 2003 he attended the Victoria Conservatory summer jazz workshop where he studied with jazz greats Neil Swainson, Misha Piatogorsky and Don Thompson. In September 2010 he attended a Ukulele workshop in Sonoma California, training with Hawaiian Ukulele Master Kimo Hussey. Steve co-produced the Nanaimo Aloha Ukulele Festival from 2011 through 2015 and more recently he has been a regular performer and clinician at the Victoria Ukulele Festival. He plays regularly with his wife, Anna Lyman at Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa; they are also regular contributors at Victoria International Airport during the Christmas Season.

"The Drummer's Blueprint" is a masterclass designed to help students take their first steps toward becoming drummers. Led by Long and McQuade drum teacher Jordan McDonald, who possesses over a decade of music experience, this class aims to share his knowledge and love for music. With a focus on Rock drumming, it serves as the perfect starting point for any aspiring drummer. The course covers various aspects, including understanding the different parts of a drum kit, mastering stick grip techniques, exploring rudiments, learning basic beats, and much more.

This is a one time class. Students are required to bring their own drumsticks to this session.
