Alan started his music journey back in the mid 80’s as a teenager and toured the globe playing in diverse music styles and performing with outstanding musicians. Alan is a passionate teacher who has experience working with students of all ages and skill levels and is happy to help students grow and learn, no matter their musical background. Teaching drums in different genres of music and spreading the joy of playing it is his passion. Alan's rate is $29 per half hour.
dan van wyk (Violin, Viola)

Dan has over 30 years of experience teaching violin and 16 years experience performing in orchestras in South Africa and Europe. He has a Bachelor's of Music degree with honours from his native South Africa. While his preference is classical music, Dan enjoys teaching various styles as well as music theory and history. He welcomes students of all ages and abilities. His rate is $29 per half hour lesson.

Dave has a BA. in Music from UBC and a Diploma in Performing Arts in Music from Douglas College. He is a multi-instrumentalist and composer and enjoys teaching both classical and popular music. His rate is $29 per half hour.

After graduating from Simon Fraser University with a BFA in music and teaching piano for several years, Emmett has developed an audiation-based method that emphasizes an embodied understanding of music through listening, movement and singing. In Emmett’s class students will develop the skills to improvise, create their own music, perform with confidence at the piano, and read and write music notation. His goal as a teacher is to provide students with a foundation for a life of music learning and enjoyment. Emmett offers one-on-one lessons, and classes for small groups. His rate is $30.
jasmine moore (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Theory)

Jasmine Moore is a classically trained flautist with experience playing baroque flute, piccolo, clarinet, and saxophone in various ensembles from chamber music to large ensembles throughout Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. She has a Bachelor of Music degree where she studied under Paolo Borolussi and Mark McGregor. She believes in creating a well-rounded musical experience for her students while allowing them to explore and grow within their own musical interests. Her rate is $31 per half hour.
jon holisko (Drums)

Jon Holisko is a professional drummer and drum teacher who has toured Europe, China, the Caribbean and North America with multiple bands. He studied Jazz music at Capilano University and holds a Bachelor of Jazz Performance on percussion. Jon plays regularly with singer songwriter Krystle Dos Santos, reggae cover band Mostly Marley, top 40s cover band TriloJay, and does session work with dozens of local and international artists. Jon has studied with a long list of music educators over the years and has a broad range of knowledge in many different styles of music including reggae, funk, jazz, hip hop, latin, afro cuban, rock, metal, r&b, electronic and world music. Jon also works in tv/film and most recently recorded a song for an ABC Television show titled When We Rise, and makes appearances on drums on the Netflix series Riverdale, and Legends of Tomorrow. Jon's rate is $29 per half hour.
karen white (Piano, Voice)

Karen graduated in 2017 from Capilano University, where she completed a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Jazz Voice. Karen has been teaching piano and voice since 2015 in a wide variety of styles, and with a focus on fostering a safe and creative environment for students to explore their passion for music. Her rate is $30 per half hour.
munesh sami (Drums)

Munesh has over 10 years of professional touring and recording experience with well-known artists such as Hank Williams III and Strapping Young Lad, and seeks to pass on his knowledge gained from a successful and rewarding career as a live and studio drummer. He is proficient in a wide variety of styles, studied music at UBC, and excels at building up and encouraging new drummers. All ages, skill levels, and styles are welcome and encouraged. His rate is $30 per half hour.
robin brinkerink-johnson (Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba)

Robin is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies at Capilano University, as well as her bachelor’s degree in psychology at SFU. She currently plays lead trumpet in Matt Grinke’s Happiest Big Band on Earth, the Leading Ladies Little-Big Band, and the Brentwood Jazz All-Stars. Robin has also performed at the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival and the West Coast Big Band Festival with the ensemble Space Elevator. In addition to trumpet, Robin also plays French horn, trombone, and tuba. She is fluent in English, Dutch, and French. Her rate is $29 per half hour.
roger wecker (Cello, Violin, Viola)

Roger Wecker has a music degree from Pepperdine University and was an itinerant band and strings teacher in North Vancouver until his retirement. He has conducted several choral and orchestral community groups including the White Rock Community Orchestra and the Greater Vancouver Operatic Society. Roger plays the viola and currently teaches violin, viola and cello. His rate is $29 per half hour.
